One Wedding Celebrant

One Wedding Celebrant It is important for you to feel comfortable with the person who is to marry you and so I would like to tell you a little about me.

I grew up in Brisbane but in my early 20’s, I headed overseas to broaden my horizons and experience different cultures – and of course, to have fun! Since returning to Brisbane I have worked as a senior social worker within the health field. This has enabled me to develop excellent organizational and time management skills as well as fine tuning my public speaking skills. These skills have been in

valuable in delivering wedding ceremonies with confidence and poise. I was recently awarded a Churchill Fellowship to enable me to travel overseas to further my studies. The Fellowship was a life changing experience and cemented for me the importance of hearing people’s life stories and reaffirmed the importance of connection with those you love.

Happy Valentines to all . Today will be Ben and Rose’s first Valentines Day as a married couple . I was honoured to officiate at their wedding late last year. Ben found love second time around and it was a beautiful ceremony to celebrate this joyous occasion . His family welcomed Rose into their family and his 2 teenage children participated in the ceremony . Rose ensured that we included important rituals to reflect her cultural heritage . Ben sent these beautiful words after the ceremony ‘we all think you did a spectacular job ! It was run beautifully and I got a lot of comments about how impressed folks were with our lovely celebrant ‘. I love helping people to celebrate their love whether it be renewing wedding vows or first time weddings or for those who find it a second time . Let me help you to put your ‘love into words’. Enjoy today !!

In July of this year I was honoured to officiate at the wedding of this beautiful woman -Donna who had been with her long term partner, Nelson for 30 years but they hadn’t gotten around to getting married until Donna was diagnosed with an incurable medical condition and she knew time was short . It was a beautiful service held in their home and witnessed by close family and neighbours . Wonderful memories of a beautiful day . Sadly I have just heard that she has now passed and I will be attending her funeral next week . I am reminded of how special these ceremonies are . Weddings can be expensive but they don’t need to be.
