Liz Taylor Celebrant

Liz Taylor Celebrant Authorised Marriage Celebrant specialising in Weddings, Funerals, Memorials, Naming Ceremonies and m Taylor Made Ceremonies for all life's celebrations.

Weddings, baby namings, renewal of vows, commitment ceremonies, funerals, pet funerals and I'll even smash a bottle of champagne on a ship's bow and send her on her way! I've always believed life and life's milestones should be celebrated from the beginning to the end no matter where the journey takes you. Having been an Entertainer for nearly 30 years this transition is only natural for me. Not m

uch can faze me and if it's legal and won't offend then step outside the square and ask me! And if it's simple and straightforward with some beautiful tradition or ritual you want, then allow me to put together a dignified and elegant ceremony for the occasion. My promise to you is that it will be unique, personalised and memorable. www.liztaylorcelebrant.com for more information.

Wedding Season is upon us and joy oh joy love is in the air!
Weddings look different to me this year. Smaller more intimate occasions in all sorts of different settings.
Yet filled with love and the celebration of love between two people.
And that is worth celebrating. 🫢🏻πŸ₯‚πŸ’•

Funerals... Death... Grief...
It's a complex and sensitive time for all involved and the circumstances that surround a death can weigh heavily on how people act and react.
In my role as a celebrant I often find it can be a case of treading on very thin ice where sensitivity and emotions are concerned.
As a human and a family member it's equally tricky.
Saying things like "it was a good innings" although often true can sometimes be received with tears and even a glare.
Especially if the person we are referring to left us unexpectedly or suddenly. Even worse because of an accident or incident when they were absolutely on their way to receive that telegram from the King.
So yes, they may have had a good innings but there is still a family and/or loved ones grieving someone they most likely knew and loved deeply all their lives.
Sometimes a simple hug or "I'm so sorry" is enough.
But make sure you do reach out. It's nice to know people care.

I absolutely love this concept.
Not your usual sightseeing stop on a UK holiday but interesting to me working in the Funeral Industry.
