Tonight I don my hat as Regional Coordinator Sydney Northern Beaches for The Australian Marriage Celebrants Inc. A wonderful Association for Marriage Celebrants current or in training to meet and network with other celebrants and share knowledge, support and mentor each other.
The website has a directory for celebrants so couples can see listings for all our members in areas right across Australia.
Membership Fees also include Insurances for our profession.
If you are a celebrant or training to be a celebrant you are welcome to join us at The Crows Nest Hotel upstairs. 6pm for a 6:30 sharp meeting then network over drinks and canapés afterwards.

On Sunday I joined my friend Robin for the and raised over $1100 for dementia related causes. A cause very close to my heart, my family and close friends. Did my first one in 2018! Feeling proud I can do a little something.

Thankyou for the privilege of being MC for the ANZAC Day Dawn Service 2026 for the 5th year now. This is a role I don’t take lightly and consider it an honour to pay tribute to those men and women who served and continue to serve past, present and future.

Congrats Jo & Joey!
A beautiful intimate wedding at Wentworth Falls last week in the garden at Silvermere Guesthouse 40 guests.
Special moment as the groom’s parents serenaded the bride on violin and guitar as she made her entrance.
We laughed, we cried, theirs was a special story.
A black tie wedding, bride stunning in white and the bridesmaids popped in bright red! Can’t wait to see photos by Elliott Kramer Photo who was a joy to work with.

Gratitude.
It’s been 15 years since my first funeral and wedding officiating as a celebrant.
Wow that flew!
But boy what a great decision after stepping out of the spotlight as a professional entertainer.
I must be doing something right as already this year alone I have received beautiful flowers and some amazing feedback in the form of emails, phone calls, cards and Google reviews.
I just stopped to think about this in a quiet moment and would like to say thank you to all the couples, families and everyone who has recommended me from peers, friends, funeral directors and yes, google!
It’s humbling and I am truly grateful.

Went to Parkes Elvis Festival with long time dear friends and had a ball!!! A mirror ball actually. Dressed in disco theme our first night was seeing Marcia Hines who was added to the Rock’n’Roll Wall of Fame!
And then it was an Elvisathon for the next 4 days! 🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻

Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas Day however you choose to spend it.
I know for many of us it will be very different to last year and previous years.
My wish for you is that you find a way to give yourself a little treat and love yourself a little more.
If we relearn how to love ourselves we can then share it and feel joy again. It all comes from within.

It’s my birthday today.
I’m scrolling through Facebook in my PJ’s and reflecting on what has personally been a challenging year.
My dear friend and musical duo partner John who was like an Aussie Dad to me passed after a very rapid and aggressive battle with dementia.
My own beautiful Daddy died in October.
Very close friends and family also farewelled their own Dads and Father figures. It was the year for Dads. Can you imagine the Dad jokes being shared up there?
Then last Sunday we were rocked by the horror at Bondi Beach. ….. Still reeling.
As has been said the light will shine through the darkness and it will.
So today I am quietly sad and quietly grateful for my health, my husband, my family and my friends.
I’m letting the light back in. 🌔
