Floral Couture Atelier has been created from my unrivalled passion for all things floral. Nothing excites me more than working with beautiful blooms & designing florals truly unique to suit your own individuality. I have been in the floristry industry for almost 2 decades and I have enjoyed and cherished numerous opportunities from having many designs published in

high profile magazines, managing prominent city stores & travelling to New York to work with internationally renowned celebrity florist “Preston Bailey” – this was truly magical and a dream come true. Floral Couture Atelier is a home based studio situated in Highbury Park, Baldivis Western Australia. I am so truly blessed to have the support of my husband to allow me to do what I do best from our home. Wedding consultations are hosted in my private meeting room on Thursdays, Fridays ( when events permit) and Sundays these are strictly appointment only. After hour appointments are available on Thursday nights & weekends when not allocated to weddings. I also offer a consultation once a month hosted at dome in Subiaco to meet my north of the river brides whom find Baldivis a little too far to travel and would like to catch up over coffee. These free of charge services run for about an hour where we will discuss all your floral dreams and create something truly magical to suit your own individuality. All designs are custom made to fit your theme, colours, and budget if required. I love to create everything and anything in floral design so if it has flowers or foliage I would love to create it for you.

Creating this bridal bouquet was an absolute joy! After 23 years in floristry, I sometimes find myself using the same blooms over and over—but every now and then, a design reminds me to see them with fresh eyes. This wedding had me falling in love with baby’s breath all over again!

In this bouquet, roses, orchids, and baby’s breath each had their own moment to shine. No fillers—just every flower standing boldly on its own, with baby’s breath proving it can be just as much a star as the rest! 🌟

Get into the festive spirit and learn how to create your very own beautiful wreath! Whether you're a seasoned crafter or a complete beginner, this workshop is perfect for everyone.

📅 Date: Saturday the 23rd or Sunday the 24th Of November
🕒 Time: Sat 1pm- 4pm & Sunday 11am - 2pm
📍 Location: The Studio Baldivis, Unit 3, 7 Minden Lane Baldivis/Rockingham Now
💰 Cost: $150 (All materials included! As well as a glass of Bubbles on arrival & nibbles)

We'll kick things off with a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival, along with some delicious nibbles to keep the creativity flowing. Feel free to BYO additional alcohol or drinks for the rest of the event!

The workshop will be held by Floral Designer Chiara from Floral Couture Atelier who has over 2 decades of experience in the floral Industry so you'll be sure to walk away with a new skill set in Floristry!

Every bride dreams of her perfect day, and for us, flowers were going to be the absolute highlight. Think lush luxury classical blooms, pastel pinks and whites, and a backdrop of beautiful vineyards. We had everything planned down to the smallest petal...until Mother Nature decided to add her own twist to this couples big day. 🌬️💨

Cue: the winds! 🌪️ and the original outdoor setup became a bit too...adventurous. But rather than letting it derail the dream, we continually adapted but when 30k winds hit nearing reception start we sadly had to drop these beautiful tall centrepieces down to make sure no one was seriously injured! The stands are made of crystal and are extremely heavy as needed for any flower stands not to mention the design ontop of appropriately 80 stems making it even heavier.. the risk of these winds tipping them over onto someone just wasn’t worth it. With the wind blowing Bud vases, menus, signs and even candles the risk was just too prominent! To say I am devastated is an understatement as I always strive to give my bride her dream and much more but as any florist knows Mother Nature can change everything in an instant!

It was a reminder that while Mother Nature can be unpredictable, she often adds a little something extra to the story.

As a florist who knew that this was the brides dream I made sure that there was a moment where the guests could see and appreciate the beauty of how it was meant to be from a distance (with the help of other vendors at the venue all ready to catch) and also let the photographers get a picture of her dream for her the way she envisioned, then transformed it quickly into another version which was safe for everyone by the time they were allowed to enter the reception.
So here’s to the unexpected, the winds that twist our plans, and the beauty of adapting. 🌸💐
