Assuming makes an ASS out of U and ME...

Most people think I just plan weddings and technically, they're not wrong.

But after 6 years in the industry and 150+ weddings, I've realised that “wedding planner” doesn't really come close to describing what I actually do because I'm not just there to create a timeline and make sure the caterer knows when dinner is.

I'm there to:

💋 Help you figure out what you actually want when the Pinterest rabbit hole has completely fcked with your brain.

💋 Challenge the traditions, trends and “shoulds” that don't feel like you.

💋 Turn “we don't really know what we want, we just want it to feel fun” into an actual vision.

💋 Build a team of people who understand the assignment.

💋 Take the logistical weight off your shoulders so wedding planning doesn't become your second full-time job.

💋 And ultimately, create the space for you to be completely present on the day you've spent so long dreaming of.

Honestly, I don't want to be known as the planner who created the most perfectly styled wedding.

I want to be known as the planner whose couples say:

“That was SO fcking us.”
“We actually got to enjoy every second.”

And that's exactly what The Love Club is really about.

Not just planning your wedding but creating an experience that feels like your love story, while making sure you get to experience it.

So from this day forward, I'm going to be shouting a little louder about what happens behind the scenes inside the Love Club.

Talk to the hand, because your fav South West Wedding Planner isn't listening!

My biggest peeve of them all is probably that we've been conditioned to think that "timeless" weddings are the end goal, but let me tell you, why this is absolutely bull!

Timeless is a feeling and not a specific aesthetic, its a reminder of a specific time in your life. In 20 years from now, you want to look back at your wedding photos and go, f*uck we were cool and absolutely gush over your favourite things. The colour combo you were obsessed with, the food you couldnt stop eating and the friends you surrounded yourself with. You absolutely don't want to look back and go, why the heck did I choose that colour scheme.

My love club couples and I are living proof that you don’t have to have an all white wedding in order to create a "timeless" wedding.

✨ Jarred and Niamh had an epic Lord of the Rings inspired wedding.

✨ Tegan and Callum first dance song was to Follow You Bring Me To The horizon.

✨  Mercedes and Troy had a celestial inspired wedding (their arbour was literally a MOON!)

✨️ Mandy and Alex had the most epic all weekender New Years Eve wedding.

The weddings people remember are rarely the ones that followed the rulebook.

After hundreds of weddings, I can tell you the moments that stick with me aren't the perfectly timed traditions or the things couples did because they were supposed to.

They are the moments that felt completely, unapologetically them.

🐾 Their fur baby walking down the aisle because they’re part of the family.
🍕 The favourite late-night snack instead of a cake nobody will eat.
💃 Skipping the formalities and getting straight to the party.
✨ Creating a day that makes guests say, “That was so them.”

The best weddings aren't different just to be different.
They aredifferent because the couple stopped asking:

What are we supposed to do?

And started asking:

What actually feels like us?

Your wedding doesn't need to impress everyone it just needs to tell your story.

You know what's ALSO kinda chic?

Planning a wedding that absolutely nobody else could pull off.

These days, my favourite flex is watching couples throw out traditions that don't mean anything to them and replace them with moments that actually do.

💋Private vows.

💋Festival-style receptions. Late-night swims. Forest ceremonies. Cocktail towers.

💋A little chaos. A little magic. A lot of personality.

And, honestly? Since embracing this approach, I've watched my couples create weddings that people are still talking about years later.

Because the goal was never perfection, it was creating a day that felt unapologetically like them.

So, if you're an engaged couple who's completely over the pressure, the opinions and the endless list of things you're apparently supposed to do, you're exactly where you need to be.

The thing I didn't expect when I started planning weddings was how emotional every single decision actually is.

I thought my job was going to be timelines, vendors and making sure everything ran smoothly.

And yes those things definitely matter.

But what I've learned after years in this industry is that wedding planning is so much more than logistics.

💋It's navigating expectations.
💋It's deciding what traditions actually matter to you.
💋It's choosing details that tell your story.
💋It's finding confidence in decisions when there are a million opinions telling you what you *should* do.

Because your wedding isn't just one day it's a reflection of who you are, what you value and the things that make your relationship yours.

And honestly, my favourite moments aren't when everything looks perfect.

They're when a couple looks around and thinks, this feels exactly like us!

That’s the magic.

Not following the rules.
Not creating a wedding everyone else has already seen but creating a day that feels like your love story.
