Hello reconnect family,

We hope that you are all excited to be part of the next chapter of Reconnect in March 2026.

We will have a range of workshops and facilitators to run them. These workshops are designed to use multi-disciplinary foundations and are suitable for all ages and abilities.

On this occasion, we welcome our facilitator, Mickey Space!
Mickey will lead three workshops during the retreat, including Asana, Pranayama, and Ecstatic Dance.

Mickey’s yoga journey is woven from movement, breath, stillness, and a lifelong curiosity about what it truly means to come home to ourselves. With over two decades of practice and teaching, yoga has shaped not just how he moves, but how he lives.

He completed his initial 900-hour teacher training in 2007 and has since continued to deepen his studies across asana, Yin Yoga, pranayama, meditation, and yogic philosophy. Before formal training, Mickey spent eight formative years living in Thailand and has travelled through India studying within the Iyengar and Sivananda lineages—experiences that continue to infuse his teaching with depth, humility, and embodied wisdom.

Now a full-time teacher and teacher trainer, Mickey is a familiar presence in studios, festivals, and retreats, where his classes blend intelligent sequencing, functional anatomy, breath awareness, and moments of deep stillness. He holds a particular love for Yin Yoga as a practice of slowing down, listening deeply, and reconnecting with the subtle rhythms of the body and nervous system.

Pranayama weaves gently through his work, supporting regulation, clarity, and expanded awareness. Taught with warmth, lightness, and a touch of play, Mickey’s offerings invite both effort and ease—always pointing beyond the shapes toward presence, integration, and inner spaciousness.

“Salutations to the extraterrestrial architects who anointed Mickey Space as the harbinger of sonic wonder!”

Traversing dancefloors from Earth to the astral realms, Mickey Space is a genre-bending selector of deep, soul-stirring grooves. A long-standing fixture of Australia’s underground scene and a global dancefloor shapeshifter, Mickey blends Organic House, Melodic House, and Global Bass into immersive journeys that move both body and spirit.

Launched into orbit over two decades ago on a tiny Thai island, Mickey’s career has charted an adventurous course through the heart of Australia’s festival culture—his name synonymous with peak-time magic on stages like Rainbow Serpent, Earth Frequency, Esoteric, and Mushroom Valley. Internationally, his sound has echoed across legendary gatherings like Boom Festival, Oregon Eclipse, and Burning Man.
Dubbed the Oceanic Jack Sparrow of beats, Mickey thrives on the unexpected. In recent years, his sets have become infused with his spiritual path—inviting dancers into ceremonial spaces of deep feeling, sacred bass, and mystical uplift.
Whether holding a sweaty sunrise floor or guiding an ecstatic dance journey, Mickey’s vibe is magnetic, heartfelt, and always a little intergalactic.

We can't wait to have you all lovely humans come and celebrate oneness with us.

Peace and love to all 😍
