We are very honoured and super proud to announce that for the third year in a row, Southern Downs Catering has won the Wedding Caterer of the Year Award for the Southern Qld Country - Wedding Industry Awards. This achievement simply could not be made possible without all the amazing couples who invited us to cater for their weddings during the past twelve months and we sincerely thank them for the chance to be part of their special days and their nomination for these awards.

We would also like to acknowledge all the other caterers nominated in this category and the hard work they
put into making each and every wedding they cater for memorable.

For us, this small family business has grown significantly from catering for some family and friends in 2019 and 2020 to catering for weddings virtually every weekend in 2024. We have also catered for a wedding on every day of the week this year and travelled thousands of kilometres all over the Darling Downs and even into Northern NSW. While we have catered at some amazing function centres and we are grateful for those opportunities, it is our mobile catering van that has enabled us to cater for weddings at some spectacular places on private properties this year.

We are passionate about what we do and look forward to catering for many more weddings and other functions in 2025.

Another busy week done and dusted and a huge thank you to all those who had us cater for them.
* Melbourne Cup luncheon at Oaktree Retirement Village on Tuesday
* Wedding at Bunnyconnellen on Thursday
* Wedding at Gordon Country and Xmas party at Warwick Redbacks Clubhouse on Saturday
The coming week sees us catering for three more special functions - it is definitely a busy time of year but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
