Next Monday October 19th the music of The Cowtones will reverberate along Flinders Street from 12.30 -1pm.
The Cowtones are a three-man string band playing old- time roots music of poverty, agriculture and plain hard luck.
Band members include Rob Andrew on guitar and resonator, Mark Anderson on double bass and Rev. Rob MacPherson on banjo, guitars and harmonica.
The Cowtones musical influences are mainly from the Americana roots tradition including Woodie Guthrie, Pete Seeger, John Prine, Dave Van Ronk and Johnny Cash. We are located on the forecourt of Pilgrim Church 12 Flinders Street in the city.
