📍 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟮 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿.

The Centre will be temporarily closed while internal painting works are carried out. During this time, all programming and events have been cancelled – and affected groups have been contacted.

For those who want an alternative place to visit during this time, library and community centre is nearby and available to the general public.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these improvements and look forward to welcoming everyone back when the works are finished.

Wet weather on the way...be prepared!

🌧️ 𝗪𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 – 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲

With significant rainfall forecast across metropolitan Adelaide this weekend (specifically Sunday 9 August), a community self-help sandbag location is open at Charles Road, Beverley for residents concerned about potential property flooding.

What’s available:
➡️ Sand and empty sandbags are available at the site. Please bring your own shovel to fill bags.
➡️ A limited number of pre-filled sandbags will also be available (from 12pm today) on the verge along Toogood Avenue, Beverley, opposite the Beverley Recycling and Waste Centre. These are available on a first come, first served basis.
*Sandbags will be available until the weather passes or supplies are exhausted.

For anyone that may have been attending Bower Cottages today...

𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 (𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟳 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁).

For the safety of our community, Bower Cottages Community Centre is 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 due to the nearby fire incident at Port Adelaide. All regular programming has been cancelled for the day. Our team is currently contacting affected groups about any rescheduling where applicable.

If you need an alternative place to visit, our nearby Ngutungka West Lakes library and community centre is open and available to the general public.

⚠️ 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 - 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 ⚠️

Next Monday 27 July, the Australian Government will conduct a national test of the new AusAlert emergency warning system. Compatible mobile phones, tablets and smart watches may receive an alert (even if devices are set to silent or "Do Not Disturb").

In South Australia, the test will occur at 1:30pm. The notification will vibrate and include a loud siren-like sound lasting about 10 seconds.

If receiving this alert could affect your safety (for example, if you have a hidden phone), you may want to:

🔸 Turn the device off or put it in aeroplane mode before the national test
🔸 Keep it off for at least 24 Hours after the alert
