Imagine thinking you’re just going out… meanwhile THIS is waiting for you. 😭😂💚✨

Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of setting the scene for Emmanuel’s surprise 30th birthday, and I think it’s safe to say his people understood the assignment.

Green, white and touches of gold, lush florals, candlelight and just enough drama to say: WELCOME TO 30!

There’s something extra special about styling surprise celebrations. Knowing someone is completely unaware that somewhere, a room is being transformed, people are gathering, and so much love is being poured into celebrating THEM.

And honestly? 30 deserves a little fuss.

Happy 30th, Emmanuel. Cheers to a new decade, bigger blessings and plenty more reasons to celebrate.

The brief: Make sure nobody can tell if it’s a boy or a girl. 😂

Me: SAY LESS.

Pink came. Blue came. N**e came. Red said, “Don’t forget about me.” And somehow, all of them together created this beautiful little moment.

Because who said a gender reveal has to follow the usual rules? Sometimes you mix the colours, confuse everybody and let them mind their business until it’s actually time for the reveal.

The guests were guessing. The colours were giving NOTHING away. The assignment was absolutely understood.

Tradition is cute… but having fun with it is even better. ✨

We say it all the time. Then life gets busy, weeks turn into months, and somehow “soon” keeps moving further away.

So here’s your little reminder: pick the date.

Book the table. Plan the picnic. Invite them over. Celebrate absolutely nothing. Take too many photos. Stay longer than you planned.

Because sometimes the occasion isn’t a birthday, an engagement or a milestone.

Sometimes, seeing each other again is the occasion.

Tag the person you’ve been saying “we should catch up soon” to. Consider this your sign.

I build worlds out of silk flowers and fabric.

I show up to empty rooms and leave them breathtaking. I spend my evenings googling colour combinations and my mornings unloading a car full of props before most people have had their coffee.

Is it a job? Absolutely.
Is it a business? One hundred percent.
