Could your food or drinks transport someone to another place, awaken a memory or tell the story of your culture?

Following the success of our award-winning 2026 festival, Colours of Asia returns to the Glenelg foreshore for four unforgettable summer days filled with authentic flavours, living traditions and vibrant cultural performances by the sea.

We are inviting exceptional food, beverage and bar vendors to apply for our 2027 festival.

We are looking for vendors who can share:

• Authentic street food and traditional delicacies

• Family recipes and dishes with a meaningful cultural story

• Distinctive regional flavours not commonly found at festivals

• Asian-inspired cocktails, craft beers, wines, spirits and other creative bar concepts

• Traditional and contemporary non-alcoholic beverages

• High-quality food and drinks with strong visual presentation

• A genuine passion for sharing their culture with the wider community

Our vendor selection is carefully curated to create a diverse and balanced representation of cuisines, beverages and cultures. Applications are not assessed on a first come, first served basis.

Preference will be given to vendors who demonstrate authenticity, exceptional quality, originality, professionalism and offerings that complement the existing festival lineup.

Who owns a culture?

At Asia Oasis festivals, we believe there is a difference between "using" a culture and "honouring" it.

Honouring a culture means listening to its stories, celebrating its people, and learning with an open heart.

That's why Asia Oasis festivals are more than food and entertainment. They are little invitations to discover, connect and appreciate the beautiful traditions that make our communities unique.

Expressions of Interest are now open for performers wishing to be part of Colours of Asia 2026 in Melbourne.
We are seeking talented performers, artists, MCs, cultural groups, community organisations and buskers whose work celebrates, represents or is inspired by the diverse cultures, traditions and contemporary expressions of Asia.

Whether you perform traditional dance, contemporary dance, music, storytelling, martial arts, cultural arts, interactive experiences, community-based performances, or simply bring joy and connection through your craft, we would love to hear from you.

In many Asian traditions, food is never just a meal made from fresh ingredients. It is an expression of love, care, and sharing.

It is how conversations begin, how friendships are formed, and how people come together in connection and peace.

Above all, food carries a mother’s love. For her family, especially her children, every dish is prepared with heart, patience, and devotion. Even the simplest meal, like a bowl of greens in a light chicken broth, can taste like heaven, something no chef could ever replicate in the eyes of her children.
