I love everything about a good party from the endless styling possibilities and colour themes and because of the joy it brings to those in attendance. There was a moment, the morning of the wedding, where we stood with our bride and quietly let go of everything we had designed for what should have been a gorgeous garden ceremony with the rolling hills stretching out behind it. We felt it. She felt it. And then she took a breath, squared her shoulders, and decided that rain was not going to write the story of her day.

She walked in with the energy of a bride who had already decided nothing was going to touch her day. Honestly, we were so proud of her.

What followed was one of the most beautiful ceremonies we have ever witnessed inside four walls. The room held something unexpected. Intimacy. Warmth. A stillness that made every word count.

Sometimes the day changes. The feeling never has to.

Cocktail hour is where the day shifts, and how that space is designed matters. Flow, function, comfort. A bar people can actually get to without waiting. Seating for those who need it. Because by the time canapés are being passed around, some of your guests have already been standing for close to an hour and a half.

In black and white, you see the structure. In colour, you feel it.

Olive velvet. Burgundy blooms bleeding into deep red and purple. Silver and black cutting through it all. This palette wasn’t soft or safe and that was entirely the point.

Every colour choice you make either builds the mood or breaks it. This one was completely intentional.
