etion of a two-phase, $397M redevelopment, which saw it emerge as one of the world's most modern, flexible and technologically advanced meetings and event spaces. Beyond its state-of-the-art facilities and first-class service, the ACC is known for its commitment to creative cuisine and sustainability. The venue was judged 'Australia's Best' for banqueting and catering at the 2018 Meetings & Events Australia National Awards on the back of launching its innovative 'Honest Goodness' menu. When it comes to sustainability, the ACC cemented its global leadership position in 2018 by becoming the world's first convention centre to achieve EarthCheck's coveted Platinum Certification reflecting 10 consecutive years of best practice in business and environmental sustainability. In honour of (10-16 November), we're shining a spotlight on the ways we reuse, recycle and repurpose waste across our operation♻️

Alongside management of 20 dedicated waste streams, this year we have:
• Recycled 47,561 bottles through our local partner, Thorntons
• Recycled 540kg of uniforms with UPPAREL, turning textiles into reusable materials
• Repurposed 320 items leftover from events through donations to Vinnies SA
• Continued phasing out single-use plastics by using reusable crates for fresh produce transport and storage

We were thrilled to be named ‘Best Business Event Venue’ at the 2025 South Australian Tourism Awards, held here at Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday. 🙌

A huge thank you to our incredible team for their passion and dedication, and congratulations to all the winners and finalists. It was an incredible evening celebrating the creativity that drives our state's tourism industry, and our collective commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences.

We're always looking for new ways to reduce waste, and our lanyard recycling boxes make it easy for delegates to get involved♻️

Since introducing them in February, we've recycled 91.3kg of lanyards, keeping them out of landfill. It's just one of the many ways we divert 99% of our waste from landfill, as verified by EarthCheck 🌏

It was a pleasure to host the World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering last week, marking the event’s first return to Australia in 22 years!

Over five inspiring days, nearly 1,300 delegates from more than 80 countries came together to share cutting-edge research, explore ground-breaking innovations and forge new collaborations in medicine and healthcare.

Adelaide proved the perfect host city, offering a vibrant environment for scientific exchange, supported by world-class research, innovation and healthcare infrastructure.

Ever wondered what our ESG Manager gets up to on his holidays?

From office to outback, Philip recently volunteered with the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge - the legendary 3,000km race where teams from around the world design, build and drive solar-powered cars across Australia.

As an observer, Philip supported this year's top three teams including Brunel Solar Team, helping ensure fair play on their journey from Darwin to Adelaide.
