Hi Community, NAIDOC IN THE South is an opportunity for the community to celebrate NAIDOC Week.

Wednesday 2 July 2025
9.45am – Gather at 121 Beach Road
10am – March down Beach Road
10.30am – 2pm – Celebration in Rotary Park

Join us for a march from Market Place Square down Beach Road to Rotary Park where we will celebrate with cultural activities, art, crafts, music and free food while connecting with others in our vibrant community.

NAIDOC Week invites people to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. NAIDOC Week is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth.

This year’s NAIDOC theme is The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy and celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the NAIDOC IN THE South is an opportunity for the community to celebrate NAIDOC Week.

The day is presented by Neporendi Aboriginal Forum Inc, in partnership with the City of Onkaparinga, the Southern Elders Group and Neporendi Aboriginal Community Centre with support from Joining Hands and Minds network members.

Every day in the garden amazes me. How much excellent produce comes with our seasons???
Eating seasonally gives you more nutrition, it reduces the ‘travel k’s’ to get it on your plate, it also helps your soil, if you grow them at home! PLUS.. it is super calming.
