To celebrate my 1st wedding anniversary, This first post is all about my own COVID-19 wedding. Without giving away all the details (you'll have to read the blog for those!) our wedding was a wild one. South Australia went into lockdown, our florist was in self-isolation, our paperwork was in a different town, and it all ended with pizza, beer, and the best night of our lives.

The best way to know what to expect from your vendors and when to expect it is to communicate, Ask the questions!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When meeting with your vendors it never hurts to ask for a rough timeline of what to expect from them in the lead up to your wedding - ask what they need from you and when and ask when you'll hear from them and why.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This gives you peace of mind and keeps you from worrying if you haven't heard from your vendor in a couple of weeks. It's easy to slip into worry, but it's better to have a plan and ask questions.

Coming out of lockdown everyone is talking about one thing - COVID! Here are my top 3 tips for planning a COVID wedding 🤎
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Have 'the conversation' with your partner early.
Do you want to go ahead? do you want to postpone? do you want to elope?
It's best to have the discussion early so you don't have to decide under pressure.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Back up plan, back plan, back up plan.
Have one in place for different levels of restrictions, talk to your vendors and find out how flexible they are and what is in your contract around COVID, and consider any additional costs for changes.
(SA Health now has a level system for restrictions so you can plan for each level!)

3. We're all in this together!
Any good vendor will want you to have the best day ever, so be patient with them and work with them, not against them. They're going through a lot of adjustments and rapid changes too! It always pays to be kind during COVID.
