However, we will have a resident awareness worker in the event at all times, who will work in cooperation with Rhiz security to make the event safer for all, especially for q***r-trans Black, Indigenous & People of Colour.

We're looking back at our last club night of 2025, put together with immense love & care. We are immensely grateful to our crew, artists, technicians & the VKM staff for making this happen!

Let us also take a minute to remember that the Otto Wagner Areal has historically witness immense violence and crimes against humanities, and our Town Hall with only scratched the surface of several important conversations that are needed in Vienna to resist historic erasure, artwashing, and lack of accessible alternative spaces.

This was the first & .addend collaboration! And we are so excited for many more to come!

XEXA (live)

For our final congregation of the year on 5.12 with .addend , please join us in welcoming XEXA , a Portuguese composer, vocalist and sound artist of São Tomé e Príncipe ancestry based in London.

✨✨✨

After her debut LP ‘Vibrações de Prata’ (Príncipe, 2023), XEXA has released her new album ‘Kissom’ this year in September. The affiliate takes Batida to terrains & dreams of Afro-futurism with her brooding meditations and psychedelic tinkering.

XEXA graduated in Jewellery from António Arroio, Lisbon and Sonic Arts from Guildhall School Of Music and Drama, London. She has composed music for the British Music Collection, CMMAS, Lagos Art Biennale, Culturgest and ModaLisboa. Her live concerts in Europe have included Berghain Halle, The White Hotel, Nuits Sonores Brussels, Sónar Lisboa, Milan Design Week, Casa del Jazz Roma, Kelman Duran's residency at Cafe Oto, and Primavera Sound Barcelona. In Seoul, last year, she had a three-day residency performing immersed in a transfixional installation at Kia's exhibition “Opposites United: Intersections Beyond Boundaries” at SPACE S1.
In Lisbon, this year, she presented the sound installation ‘Síncopes’ at CAM Gulbenkian, based on a collective creation project with researcher and sociologist Cristina Roldão, and director and actress Zia Soares. The project and piece were inspired by black women who crossed the city of Lisbon in the early 20th century.

Open Call First Aid Training with Spice Mixers!

We are offering a certified first aid basics training course (16 hours) for Q***r & Trans Black, Indigenous & People of Colour (QTBIPoC) who are interested to work for awareness and safety in club culture.

This course is considered proof of the legal requirements according to § 40 AStV, § 26 para. 3 ASchG.

- Dates: 15. (Saturday) and 23. (Sunday) November, 2025, 8-16Uhr
- Attendance is mandatory for both days
- Free of cost
- Medium of Instruction: English
- Experience required: None.

Spice Mixers is a community-based grassroots project which aims to center the safety, accessibility, needs as well as the communal, cultural & aesthetic sensibilities of QTBIPoC people in Vienna’s nightlife and club culture. We aim to center not only QTBIPoC attendants, but also workers & artists in the nightlife industry.
As a collective organized by migrants, we learned soon about specific safety certifications for the workplace in Vienna, which are required for various jobs but can be expensive for individuals to obtain. We have organized this training, FREE OF COST, to not only train our community with basic safety and first-aid knowledge for our work in nightlife, but to also equip q***r folks of colour, especially of migrant and varied employment statuses, so that each of us has better access to jobs.

If you identify as QTBIPoC and are interested to work in nightlife, especially with us, this is an opportunity for you to acquire this certified training.
