Big moments for impact!

At the Social Business category of the Challenge in St. Pölten, our Managing Director Jakob Detering () interviewed the winning team Ohana right after their pitch. As part of the jury, he was impressed not only by the winners, but by the quality, clarity, and dedication of all seven impact startups on stage. The professionalism and purpose in the room reflected just how far Austria’s impact ecosystem has evolved.

Congratulations to Ohana and Christian Orgler for taking the win!

Their approach to strengthening families and supporting working parents tackles a pressing societal challenge with empathy — and real scalability. We’re excited to see them take the stage again at the final at Erste Campus in Vienna this April.

The future of the impact economy will not be shaped by choosing sides or chasing simple solutions. It will be shaped in the relationships we learn to hold: between nature and technology, where innovation must operate within planetary limits; between stability and change, where decisions are made without the comfort of certainty; and between value extraction and value regeneration, where economic activity determines whether systems endure or erode.

FlexDrill is revolutionizing residential heating by making ground-source heat pumps (GSHPs) affordable and installable anywhere — from basements to narrow urban lots.
