Peace out! ✌️😘 As you might have guessed already from the radio silence around here, SHL Weddings is no more. I tried my best to make my vision come to life with the resources I had, but it just wasn't happening. I've evolved too much (motherhood does thay to you), life kept happening but not enough business, the niche I offered didn't seem to catch on, and in the end, I kind of lost the fun in doing all this as an expensive hobby. So I took the only reasonable decision for me to admit defeat, remove myself, and focus on other aspects of my life.

I got to meet some very lovely vendors and clients over the past 2,5 years, and I wish you all the best. Maybe our paths will cross again one day. 😊

For now, this account will remain public until I figure out what to do with it, but for now, I can't bear to delete it.

- 2,5 hours of introduction into how to plan your wedding
- Together, we will set up a planning time line, budget plan and list of planning and service areas
- I will answer all of your questions.
- You will receive personalised planning documents.

🪩 Planungsbegleitung (planning support)
You plan your wedding on your own but with professional help!
Package includes:
- 3 meetings (1,5 hours each) over the course of your planning process, in person or via videocall
- I guide and support you with everything you're struggling with (e.g. creating a programme of the day, seating chart, …)
- You will receive a written summary each time with relevant information and tasks.

Elopements 🖤⚡ An elopement wedding used to be considered as running away to get married in secret, without telling friends or family. Over time, however, elopements have become more and more popular as more reduced, casual celebrations with no guests or just a small gathering. It's perfect for you if you don't like to be the centre of attention, if you don't have a huge budget to spend on your wedding or if you just prefer to celebrate on your own terms just the two of you with maybe your closest friends and/or family. Plus, you can make it as special as you like. Maybe splurge on a nice hotel room, get all dressed up and then just stroll down to the register office, followed by a lovely photo session and dinner at your favourite pizza restaurant. Or book a trip and tie the knot with just your witnesses present. You do you!

Kids at weddings 🧒 When it comes to composing your guest list, you might want to think about whether you want to invite children or not (which, by the way, is a totally valid decision), and if you do, how you can accommodate them. Little guests come with special requirements that have to be considered when planning a wedding and might factor into your budget as well. Here are a few:

🤍 How can you make your wedding fun for children? Grown-up events like weddings can become pretty boring for children after a couple of hours. There are child entertainment specialists who can supervise children and create awesome activities and games so that both parents and children have a great time at your wedding. Alternatively, you can create a kids corner with some colouring books, paper to draw on, a couple of games and toys (bubbles are always a great hit!) and maybe arrange for some grown-ups to take shifts supervising so that parents get to enjoy a little mingling time.
🖤 Do you want to include children in the wedding? Think about whether you want to have your own children, nieces, nephews, godchildren etc. as ring bearer, flower girls/boys or some other role during the ceremony.
🤍 Kids meals are usually a bit cheaper than adult meals, but children still add to your total guest count in terms of seating.
🖤 Ask parents in advance if their children need a high chair or are comfortable in normal chairs at the dinner table.
🤍 Consider having special little presents for children instead of the usual presents for guests (which often include quite non-children friendly things like alcohol or are generally rather boring to kids).

Invitations Timeline ✉️ A big part of a successful wedding planning is having a thought-through timeline. Here are some suggestions for your save-the-date notes, invitations and RSVPs.

Couple shoot 📷 This is your reminder to make time for a couple foto session on your wedding day! You got all made up, so make the most out of it and get some pretty memories in! It also makes for the perfect little break to escape the bustle for a while. Here are some tips for the perfect shoot:

🤍 Talk to your photographer! They'll be happy to advise you on poses, shooting spots and good time of day in terms of lighting and mood.
🖤 If you can, book in a little couple shoot with your photographer before the wedding. This way, you'll already be familiar with the situation and each other. Plus, you get cute couple pics!
🤍 I recommend you save a time slot of about one to two hours. This will give you plenty of time to shoot at different spots and maybe even add a little quiet break for just the two of you.
🖤 If you're wearing any, check your make-up before the shoot.
🤍 If you have one, and especially in summer, store your bouquet in a cool room (venues often have a cold storage room!) as soon as the ceremony is over and get it just before the couple shoot. This way, the flowers will stay fresh as long as possible.
🖤 Think about which settings, poses, aesthetics you like beforehand. Checking out your photographer's social media is a very good source of inspiration, but Pinterest is always worth a browse too.
🤍 You do you! Your wedding photos don't have to look a certain way. Do whatever feels comfortable to you. A professional photographer will help you find out what that is and make sure you feel and look amazing.
