Some stories don’t need to be staged. They just need to be seen. ✨ This weekend was one of them.
Manuela & Oliver started their wedding day in the heart of Innsbruck – surrounded by the people they love, walking through the old town as newlyweds, with life simply carrying on around them. Tourists passing by, people stopping for a second, laughter in between, and the two of them right in the middle of it all.
Later, we traded the city streets for the gardens and old walls of Gut Matzen. A completely different setting, but still the same story. Elegant, a little wild, emotional and wonderfully alive.
And maybe it fits that a woman who works with stories and a man whose world is built around journeys created a wedding day that felt exactly like that: a story worth remembering and the beginning of another journey together.
This is what I want wedding photography to be.
Not a collection of perfect poses. Not turning your wedding into a photoshoot. But knowing when to step in – and, even more importantly, when to step back.
Creating the editorial portraits you’ll want to frame, while never missing the hand reaching for yours, the look across the room, the chaos, the laughter, the people around you and all those tiny moments you didn’t even know were happening.
Because one day, your photographs shouldn’t only show you what your wedding looked like.
They should bring you back to what it felt like.
Manuela & Oliver, thank you for letting me tell this one. ✨
