تحقيق المطاعم لصافي أرباح ليس دليلا علي نجاح الادارة في المطاعم فقد يحقق المطعم صافي أرباح وبرغم ذلك قد يتعرض لخطر الإغلاق فالكثير من المطاعم تم إغلاقها ليس بسبب الخسائر ولكن لأسباب اخري نستعرض في التالي اهم الأسباب التي تعيق المطاعم وتتسبب في إغلاقها بالرغم من تحقيقها ارباح كما يلي :
‏١- سحب الشركاء الغير مبرر من سيولة المطعم.
‏٢- انشاء قائمة الدخل علي اساس نقدي وليس اساس استحقاق مما يؤدي الي ارباح وهمية .
‏٣- توزيع ارباح وهمية علي الشركاء .
‏٤- زيادة الديون في السوق دون مراقبة .
‏٥- التوسع غير المدروس للفروع.
‏٦- تمويل الفروع الجديدة من الفروع الحاليه.
‏٧- المغالاة في الهيكل الإداري وزيادة تكلفته
