America built its reputation on innovation, manufacturing, and hard work. From automobiles and steel to technology and aerospace, generations of workers helped create products that shaped not only a nation but the world.
Today, many goods are produced overseas, often because of lower costs and global supply chains. Some believe bringing more manufacturing back home could strengthen the economy, create jobs, reduce dependence on foreign suppliers, and improve national security. Others argue that global trade keeps prices lower and provides consumers with more choices.
The real question is: How much should a country rely on imports, and how much should it produce itself?
There may not be a simple answer, but it's a conversation that affects workers, businesses, families, and future generations.
What do you think? Should America focus more on making products at home, or is global trade the better path forward?
