BAZA KIZOMBA HOME – THE HOME OF ANGOLAN DANCE

Angola is preparing to host one of the most significant cultural and dance gatherings in its history. From October 2 to 4, 2026, the iconic Luanda Bay will become the stage for BAZA KIZOMBA HOME, a unique celebration dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and global recognition of Angolan dance and culture.
More than a festival, BAZA KIZOMBA HOME is a cultural movement that brings together the heart and soul of Angola through dance, music, tradition, and community. The event will unite more than 60 dance instructors from all regions of Angola, accompanied by their students, dance enthusiasts, and cultural ambassadors from the North to the South of the country.
The Meaning of BAZA
In Angola, “Baza” is a popular expression meaning to go, to move, to gather, or to head towards a destination. Within the festival’s vision, BAZA KIZOMBA HOME means “Let’s Go Home”-a return to the roots of Angolan culture and dance.
It is an invitation for the world to experience the birthplace of:

* Semba
* Kuduro
* Afro House
* Txianda
* Traditional Angolan Dances
A Historic Guinness World Record Attempt
One of the most anticipated moments of the festival will be the production of the largest dance demonstration video ever created in Angola, bringing together dancers from across the country in a spectacular cultural showcase.
The project aims to submit an official application to the Guinness World Records, featuring a massive synchronized performance celebrating Angola’s most influential dance styles:
* Kizomba
* Semba
* Txianda
* Kuduro
* Afro House
This historic initiative seeks to immortalize Angola’s cultural legacy and showcase its artistic excellence to a global audience.

These selected guests will have the exclusive opportunity to witness and take part in one of the most important cultural moments in Angola’s contemporary history, experiencing the country’s dance heritage directly from its source.
BAZA KIZOMBA HOME was created to empower Angolan artists, instructors, and dancers while strengthening cultural exchange and creating new opportunities for future generations.
The festival seeks to position Angola as the world’s leading destination for authentic African social dances and to reaffirm the country’s role as the home of Kizomba and many other influential African dance styles.
