What a weekend! 😄

Our Albania Mountains Race was absolutely fantastic. We are so proud of all of our walkers and runners for making it through a really tough challenge.

And they are off! 🎉

The claxon has sounded, and our hikers and runners have set off across the Albanian mountains for this year's race.

The weather is looking great, and our team are all on hand to help the participants cross that finish line.

Each race is assigned to certain charities, and 100% of the money raised is split equally between them. At the moment, we are putting on races for charities for these categories:

📢 1 WEEK TO GO! 📢

Albania 2026 is almost here! What have we been doing to prepare?

Well, we're setting up all the checkpoints, making sure there is enough water and snacks to go round, and keeping those all-important medals safe.

A big preliminary thank you to the team working on the event this year... we couldn't do it without you guys.

Here are your full route maps for our upcoming Albania Race next month 👇

We've included how many meters you'll be climbing too, so you're fully prepared.

Your total elevation, according to your distance, will be:

100km = ⬆️3,400m
50km = ⬆️1,270m
25km = ⬆️721m

The GPX files for each distance are now ready for you to download and meticulously study before we hit the mountains.

If you are looking to take on our Lapland Race and worried about needing to buy gear that you won’t use again. Worry not!

You can rent kit from our partner cold weather school, Pole to Pole

Items like Snow shoes, running spikes, ski poles and large down jackets can be reserved and picked up on arrival into Lapland. Saving you money and space packing bulky items.

All part of our aim to make this the lowest costing cold weather race, accessible for all!

Please reach out if you have any questions and grab a spot in our 2027 Lapland race or you’ll need to wait until 2029 to take part in this amazing event!

🔹CHARITY RUNDOWN: Cancer United

Introducing Cancer United, a wonderful charity that provides exercise programmes, expert coaching and creative wellbeing groups for anyone affected by cancer. They are also one of the charities we raise money for with our Ultra 4 Cancer events.

Founded in West Sussex, but operating beyond, Cancer United helps people rebuild confidence, strength, and overall wellbeing by not just hosting exercise classes, but by creating opportunities to meet others through choir practice, creative groups, and community meets.

And their impact is unmissable: 96% of participants say their fitness and wellbeing have improved since working with Cancer United.

Also, 71% feel more hopeful about their future.

That's why we want to provide as much support as possible.

We get it; it happens! 🫣

Sometimes participants can't finish their intended distance or event for whatever reason.

If you are unable to continue in the event, you will be dropped off and held at the nearest checkpoint until a vehicle is available to take you to the finish line.

If you are on day one of a two day event, then you can either stay in the campsite as planned or be taken back to the race hotel.

For the extra night, you will have to book your own accommodation, but we are happy to help with suggestions.

If you wish to leave the event early and return to the airport ahead of the organised transfer, that's absolutely fine! It'll be up to you to plan your transport, but we will be happy to support you along the way.
