My Dubai Wedding

Being a Londoner, living in Dubai, has its perks. Right now it doesn’t. I had a reminiscent conversation with my Mama today and it made the distance so very hard. We spent a long time talking about her pet pig in Croatia, about the way she lived growing up, about hardship and how humble her memories are. Not of holidays to Disney Land, but of getting shoes that were handed down from her sister earlier than others were because they were too small before they were thread bare. That soft voice breaking “never forget I love you” at the end of every call reminds me how precious life is. How could we take anything for granted again? So to everyone missing their parents today, I’m with you, I feel you, I see you. Peace and love x

Catching up with Sophie over the last few days reminded me of how beautiful she is on the inside as well as the outside. The most exceptional mother to Mollie & Maisie and a brilliant, caring, courageous friend too. When clients become friends - I am reminded my job isn’t a job. It’s a passion and I’m very lucky to be making dreams come true. Sophie was the first person to call me fairy god mother or FGM and I must admit... of all the nicknames I’ve coined this is by far my favourite. As soon as we resume a level of normality I want you on the first place missy so we can celebrate together.

As a wedding planner there is always one picture that you can’t get out of your mind. You’ve envisaged it and got super excited about it, briefed the photographers on some of the details you’d like captured or a moment you’d like to be eternalised, but when they actually come to life 💕 this perfectly 💕 you know you’re working with incredible partners. This is that picture for me. I’m not sure if you can see the flower girl dress details - but Laila’s dress had gold wings sewn into it to match her Evangeline wings. Such a beautiful little angel and a breathtakingly stunning bride in dreamy wings too. Utter perfection 💕

Niall, H+S’s handsome page boy, came up to me at the end of the night (unprompted by his parents) and said this “Tania, thank you for making my Mummy and Daddy’s wedding day so perfect”. A little tear filled my eye because for a lovely, well brought up little man to utter those words, made my tired little feet and 19 hour day all so worthwhile. Thank you Niall - you’re a gentleman in the making 💕

Something big happened today. So epic I had to share its importance with you all...
After being asked by Hello Middle East to write an editorial feature a couple of weeks ago on food at weddings - their lovely editor asked me to write another feature on bringing royal traditions to your own wedding. Today I picked up a copy, sat on the floor in the supermarket with a little happy tear in my eye (keeping it cool) reading my words, in the same souvenir edition of Hello featuring the incredible pictures from Princess Eugenie’s Wedding. There they all were... Her Majesty the Queen, Kate, William, Meghan, Harry, Charlotte & George, Robbie & Ayad, Ellie Goulding, Cara Delevingne, Naomi Campbell and other elite guests in suitable royal regalia. A few pages on, there’s featured on a double page spread talking royal wedding traditions. I’m pinching myself a little here because when I started the company - if someone had told me I would be featured in a special royal edition of Hello I would have told them to stop pulling my leg! Then today it actually happened. I’m remarkably proud of all the blood sweat and tears shed My Dubai Wedding as it’s moments like these that make it all worthwhile. I post this with ultimate gratitude to the people who have supported my journey, stuck by me through thick and thin and believed in me. My very grateful heart is full of love for you all x
