On 25 September, Dr. James Kelly from SAE Dubai will explore how recording techniques shape the way we experience music — and why recorded sound is much more than a reproduction of a live performance.

Through musical examples, the talk will explore multi-track recording, analogue saturation, reverb, and mastering, revealing how audio engineers can create unique sonic spaces that simply cannot exist in a live performance.
