CASTANEA’s main product are the freshly roasted chestnuts. The quality and freshness of the product is assured by professional storage facilities and techniques that allow us to keep the chestnuts fresh for long periods, even out of season. Delivered daily to the kiosks, the chestnuts shells are cut with special cutters and roasted in convection ovens to assure the best quality of roasting and tas

te. When ready, the chestnuts are displayed on a tray under an infra-red light that keeps the product warm. Fresh chestnuts are available in small & large portions and can also be ordered per kg according to our clients requirements. Chestnuts are used in a wide variety of ways. At Thanksgiving time, a traditional stuffing for the turkey is made with chestnuts. During the Christmas holiday season, everyone knows about “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire”, whether you have actually sampled roasted chestnuts or not. Chestnuts are used in stews, soufflés, hors d’oeuvres, soups and deserts.
