It's halfway to Christmas, and our mischievous little workers have officially submitted their holiday request. But Santa hasn't signed off yet… so they're taking matters into their own tiny hands! 🏃‍♂️💨

Welcome to THE GREAT ELF ESCAPE — the brand-new show coming to our Half-Way to Festive celebrations right here on the QE2! 🚢✨

These rebellious elves have their sights set on Dubai 🇦🇪 — golden beaches, Aquaventure, the Burj Al Arab, the Museum of the Future… and yes, they're using their trusty "Elf Advisor" App to plan every last second of it. 📱🌴

But first — what on EARTH does an elf pack for a summer holiday?! 🧳👙

Expect audience participation, hilarious packing dilemmas, questionable fashion choices, and a suitcase FULL of surprises. The mischief is mounting, the stakes are high, and Santa is watching… 🎅👀

Outside The Box Events UAE and Theatre by QE2 are delighted to announce that we are collaborating with Short + Sweet to bring "Short + Sweet for Schools" to the UAE in the Autumn of 2026.

"Short+Sweet for Schools" is a 10-minute play competition designed specifically for school-age theatre writers, directors and actors, and their teachers!

Just in case you missed our Emails / WApps and calls - today's show is postponed!

Due to the current situation, our upcoming performances of Father Ted at Theatre by QE2 will be postponed and rescheduled to September.

If you have a ticket booked you should have received an email about this.��

While Father Dougal is extremely excited to see you (and promises he’s been practicing), we feel it’s best to press pause for now on the show.

Thank you for your continued support, patience, and understanding. We can’t wait to welcome you back for a fantastic night of comedy very soon.

PS To keep the craic going, we are currently trying to arrange a Father Ted Quiz Night – for the Craggy Island Trophy (c/o Mrs. Doyle shopping at Daiso!) – the date and timings will be communicated very soon. Various members of the Father Ted cast will be asking the questions for you to be able to take the honour of being the “Champion Quizzer of Craggy Island!”
