Hala is the Director of the UAE Center for Innovation & Security Solutions (CISS) for Lockheed Martin Global Corporation. She leads collaborative efforts between industry, academia, and government, focusing on advanced technology and innovation programs to address challenges facing the GCC.

In addition, she spearheads an advanced training program to support the UAE’s human capital development goals, preparing youth to become future leaders, scientists, and engineers.

We are honored to welcome Marwan Khraisheh, Professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University as a Speaker for the ReAM Show taking place from September 22–24, 2025, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Professor Khraisheh is an academic leader dedicated to advancing higher education and research in the region. He was the Founding Dean of Masdar Institute in Abu Dhabi, developed with MIT, where he launched graduate programs in sustainable technologies and recruited over 70 faculty members. In 2014, he joined Qatar Foundation to lead the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI), overseeing 150 researchers and portfolios in energy, water, environmental challenges, innovation, and digital learning at HBKU. He later chaired the Mechanical Engineering program at Texas A&M University at Qatar, advancing smart and sustainable manufacturing, before rejoining HBKU in 2024 to establish a new mechanical engineering program and oversee faculty affairs in the College of Science and Engineering. A recipient of the US NSF CAREER Award and SME’s Eugene Merchant Award, he is a Fellow of ASME and AAAS, and a Member of CIRP. He has contributed to Qatar’s national development and manufacturing strategies and served on key committees including the Masdar-MIT Joint Executive Committee and MIT Energy Initiative Executive Committee. He earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University in 1996.
