Steps & Strings is a Music, Dance, Arts and Events institute in Abu Dhabi. The primary goal of the institute is to identify, grow and develop the talent of every individual- child or adult ! Services offered- Training in Musical Instruments - keyboard, piano, drums, guitar, vocals. Dance- Bollywood and western, Jam room, Hall rentals, Event management. The institute caters to children from 3 year

s onwards as well as adults. Summer, spring and winter camps are conducted and some of the activities included are dance, music, arts and crafts, karate, movie-making, field trips and gaming center.

Meet Ray ⭐️

Ray is a bassist, multi-instrumentalist, and musical director based in Abu Dhabi. He is the Rock and Pop instructor at Steps and Strings Music Institute, the Musical Director of The Vocalist International, the band leader of Jazz Project DXB, and an active session bassist performing with various bands across the UAE.

He brings deep insight into groove, pocket, band dynamics, and musical leadership in live ensemble settings.

Meet Josh, a versatile and in-demand performer with over 20 years of experience on stage and in the studio.

Blending rock, blues, pop, and jazz with a soulful, expressive style, Josh is known for elevating every musical moment. A graduate of the prestigious Frost School of Music and a DownBeat award winner, he has released multiple albums as a composer and bandleader, showcasing his unique fusion of funk, rock, and pop.

Hosted by our resident instructor Ray Cenicio ltcl, together with his band — Josh Shieman (Guitar), Garth Klink (Keys), and Rafael Mendoza (Drums) — this FREE 2-day masterclass dives deep into soloing and improvisation for Guitar, Bass, Keys, and Drums.

Experience real musicianship as we demonstrate live solos, interplay, comping, concepts, and approaches to improvisation. We’ll break everything down, answer your questions, and explore how musicians think during a solo.

We’re also selecting participants to jam with the band — a rare chance to feel real musical interaction in a live setting.
