Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) Scholastica Team won first place at the Sanganai/Hlanganani Dzimbahwe Scholastica Competitions 2026 in Masvingo. This win means that the team will represent Masvingo Province at the national Scholastica Competitions on September 10, 2026, during the Sanganai/Hlanganani/Dzimbahwe Tourism Expo.

The team will join other representatives from all nine provinces at a special training camp on September 8-9, 2026, before the national event. The final results for the provinces are:

Morgenster Teachers College
Masvingo Teachers’ College

AHEAD OF ZIMBABWE INTERNATIONAL TOURISM EXPO.

The Civic Centre in Masvingo is getting a beautiful new look with dry stone walls inspired by the famous Great Zimbabwe Monuments.

The small monument is already attracting people. Residents and visitors are enjoying the beautiful structure, taking pictures and celebrating a symbol that represents who we are as the people of Masvingo Province.

This is more than just a wall. It is a reminder of our rich history, culture and heritage. It also gives our city a unique identity as we prepare to welcome visitors for the Zimbabwe International Tourism Expo.
