She can also advise on the legal requirements to ensure the marriage is registered correctly at the Department of Home Affairs. Louise is also a wedding planner, so she is passionate about weddings and the marriage process. She understands the stress that goes with a wedding day and will do everything possible to make sure that the ceremony flows smoothly, is stress free and that the couple has fun! With this ring, I thee wed... a classic line about the ring exchange in a ceremony. 💍💗

The tradition of exchanging wedding rings can be traced back to ancient Rome but the groom gave it to the bride's father, not the bride. A few centuries later, it became a symbol to show that thew groom trusted the bride with his property.

Wearing a wedding ring on the left hand’s ring finger is believed to originate from a myth from the Roman times. It is thought that the Romans believed that the ring finger on the left hand contained a vein that was connected directly to the heart. This vein was known as the Vena Amoris which is Latin for ‘Vein of Love’.

On a VERY windy day, Wilna & Samantha tied the knot in front of the Cape Agulhas Lighthouse. It was such a special ceremony with a stunning view over the most southern point of South Africa and the African continent. 🌍💗

L'Agulhas is definitely a village worth a visit and somewhere I would love to go back to for more than 1 night

One of the rangers made Marion and John these rings using grass, flowers and a Guinea fowl feather for John and Starling feather for Marion. So special!! 🩷💍

Adrienne & Neil said their I Do's on Neil's family property in the Klaserie Reserve, part of Greater Kruger. They were joined by their closest family and enjoyed everything the South Africa bush has to offer.

Rain adds an extra dash of romance when you promise forever in the middle of the South African bush 😍☔

Not even a little drizzle could stop Emily and Matt having the most amazing wedding day, while on safari in The Klaserie Private Reserve, part of Greater Kruger. They loved every second of it and were up for anything!

I have to admit, I was a bit over all the rain by the time we got back to the lodge... rain ponchos aren't all they're cracked up to be 😂

These days, there are sooo many ideas for extras and small, meaningful touches you can add to your ceremony. 💗

Besides the rings, why not add a personalised ring box? Writing your own vows? Handwrite them in a vow booklet so that you can keep them to remind each other of your wedding day (and who promised they would unpack the dishwasher!)

Abby & Reed exchanging their beautiful vows under a gorgeous old trees with sweeping views of the vineyards and valleys.

They met while they were at college in Iowa and things developed from there.

They live on a sailboat and work remotely so decided to spend a few weeks in SA to soak up all we have to offer... and to get married!
