Slow down and discover a different side of Swellendam with the SB Conservancy this First Friday. 🌳
Join us for another Tree Walk as we explore a street with a surprisingly diverse collection of trees. These walks are not about rushing from one tree to the next, but about taking the time to notice the greenery around us, share stories, and discover the fascinating relationships between trees, birds, insects and other wildlife.
Whether you’re a keen naturalist, a casual observer, or simply enjoy a good walk in good company, you’re warmly invited. Along the way we’ll use iNaturalist to document and verify observations, add notes, and contribute to a growing record of the biodiversity that makes our town so special.
Every walk reveals something new, and we look forward to seeing Swellendam’s streets through fresh eyes together.
The walk is free and everyone is welcome.
Meet at The Rustic at 5:00 pm. We’ll return at approximately 6:15 pm.
Afterwards, The Rustic will be serving a traditional Argentinian Choripán – a delicious grilled chorizo sausage on fresh bread, topped with vibrant chimichurri and onions. Pre-orders are recommended and can be placed with Monet on 078 229 1383.
