🌷Hello, I’m Monique

It’s been a while, so here’s a little reintroduction for anyone new around here, and a reminder for those who’ve been following along since the beginning!

I’m the face, hands, and heart behind Tilted Tulip, a weddings and events florist based in the Helderberg Basin. I’ve been creating floral magic for nearly 4 beautiful years, and I still get butterflies every time I see a venue transform with flowers. 🩷

Whether it’s a romantic bouquet, a dramatic arch, or a table overflowing with blooms and candles, I love working closely with my clients to bring their floral dreams to life.

When I’m not surrounded by flowers, you’ll probably find me in my kitchen cooking and baking, in the garden, or running at the beach.

Why the long ribbons on bouquets? 🎀

There’s something so timeless and romantic about long, trailing ribbons on bridal and bridesmaids’ bouquets. 🌸✨ I love how the ribbons become an extension of the bouquet itself…adding softness, movement, and a little extra magic to every photo. I carefully choose each ribbon in a shade that complements the flowers, tying everything together beautifully (both literally and figuratively). 💐🎀

Tulips symbolise a perfect and deep love and cheerful new beginnings … no wonder they’re such a favourite and perhaps the perfect flower to represent weddings! 🥹❤️🌷 Fun fact: Over 2 billion tulips are grown in the Netherlands every year, making it the tulip capital of the world!
