Once you understand no one is required to do anything for you, you'll appreciate people who choose to help or support you.

**My advice to my fellow DJs since we are entering the festive season:**

**No.1** Respect yourself.

**No.2** If you get a booking, don't arrive at 5 minutes to your set time where you just have to get on the decks, play and then leave. Arrive on time and listen to other DJs playing.

**No.3** Don't demand money aggressively, communicate well with your employer/boss. Don't fight with him if you see that the time you agreed on has passed and you haven't been paid yet.

**No.4** Don't demand a rider that you have never even bought for yourself.

**No.5** Be that DJ that when event organizers or club owners are together thinking of people to hire for an event, there is someone who mentions your name, not someone who says "hey don't even mention that disrespectful guy for these events."

Be cool and be kind to people and support events even when you are not booked.

I wish you all the best. But Ladies and Gentlemen who are with us in this hustle of scratching plates, don't be afraid to ask for work, don't lift yourself up, Jehovah is the one who will lift you up.
