We loved hosting this beautiful private birthday celebration inside our old barn 🎂
There is something so magical about the atmosphere when the rugged texture of our historic walls meets a soft, romantic floral theme. For this special setup, beautiful fresh flowers lined the long table, while cascading blooms adorned our hanging light fixtures, creating a warm, dreamlike canopy above our guests. 🌸💡

Getting ready for a lekker day out at The Nut & Owl? Here is everything you need to know for the Pecan Harvest Festival on 6 June 2026

👉We start welcoming guests from 10:00.
👉Have your ticket ready to present at the entrance desk
👉A limited number of tickets will also be available for sale at the gate
👉Dogs are welcome but must remain on a leash at all times; please ensure you clean up after them.
👉Remember to bring a sun hat, a cosy blanket, and your camping chairs for maximum comfort
👉To keep things fair, please do not bring your own empty bags for collecting pecans. 1kg bags are available at the entrance for R120 (or R100 if you’ve pre-booked your ticket online!).
🚫No outside food, drinks, or cooler boxes are allowed on the grounds.

Get ready for a cracking good time! We are counting down the days until the Pecan Harvest Festival kicks off next weekend, and the line-up is looking absolutely spectacular.

Whether you are here for the harvest, the heritage, or just a great day out in the country, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

🎷 Live Music: Soak up the atmosphere with the soulful sounds of a live saxophone performance by Gerda Stander.

🍕Food & Treats: Feast on a delicious variety of food including pizzas, prego rolls, and more. For those with a sweet tooth, we have mouthwatering pastries and candied nuts.

☕🍷The Drinks Station: From your perfect morning brew to kickstart the day, to local wines with Hazon Vines and premium estates from across the country. Plus, our gin bar and a wide selection of other refreshments will be open all day.

🍂Pecan Picking: Experience the harvest first-hand! Grab an empty 1kg bag at the gate for purchase and head into the orchards to find your own haul.

Lawn Games: Challenge your friends and family to some fun in the sun with various games available on the grass.
