Why I Fell in Love with Bespoke Bridal Design
My love for bridal design began long before I ever made my first wedding dress.
As a little girl, I was always sketching dresses. I filled my notebooks and school books with flowing silhouettes, delicate bodices and dream dresses for brides. Even then, I knew I wanted to create something beautiful for women on one of the most important days of their lives.
That passion only grew as I studied fashion design, but it wasn’t until I began working with real brides that I truly understood the meaning of bespoke bridal design and the meaning of helping a bride find her perfect wedding dress.
A wedding dress is never just a dress. It becomes part of a bride’s story, her memories and one of the most meaningful days she will ever experience. For many women, it is something they will treasure forever and, in some families, even pass down through generations.
What I love most about bespoke bridal design is that it starts with a conversation. Every bride has her own personality, style and vision. My role is not to fit her into an existing design, but to listen carefully and bring her dream to life. Bespoke is definitely my favourite, being able to create something special for a bride to be! ✨
Watching a gown evolve from an idea, to a sketch, to fabric, fittings and finally the finished dress is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
I still get excited every time I put pencil to paper. It reminds me of that little girl with big dreams, sketching wedding dresses and hoping one day she would have a bridal boutique of her own.
Today, every sketch and dress I get to create, every wedding dress I showcase and fit on a bride makes me smile and I am so thankful to bring a bride’s vision of herself to life! 🙌🤍
