Remember:

The lighter and fluffier your cream, the softer and lighter your baked treats will be! 🧁✨

💡 Baking Tip: Creaming Butter, Sugar & Eggs

Creaming isn't just mixing—it's creating tiny air pockets that help your cakes and cookies rise beautifully.

✔️ Use room-temperature butter
✔️ Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy
✔️ Add eggs one at a time
✔️ Scrape down the bowl between additions
✔️ Don't rush this step—it affects the final texture

Remember: The lighter and fluffier your cream, the softer and lighter your baked treats will be! 🧁✨

Know that...

1 teaspoon of baking powder is roughly equal to ¼ teaspoon of baking soda plus an acid (like ½ teaspoon cream of tartar, lemon juice, or vinegar). Baking soda alone isn’t a direct substitute because it needs acid to work properly.

🥚 Homemade Baking vs Mass-Produced Baking

Homemade Baking (Ausi D Scones)

✅ Fresh eggs for better rise and structure
✅ Rich homemade flavour
✅ Baked in small batches for consistency
✅ Golden colour from quality ingredients
✅ Soft texture made with care

Mass-Produced Baking 🏭 Often made for long shelf life

🏭 Large batches designed for consistency at scale

🏭 May prioritize production efficiency over handcrafted texture

💛 At Ausi D Scones, we believe fresh ingredients and small-batch baking create treats that taste homemade, because they are.
