Today at BOF we did many activities.

First we played indigenous games like Voro. It was fun and we learned to think and play as a team.

we were doing beading. We learnt how to bead, how to put the colours in order, and the meaning of the colours we made bracelets

White means purity and love, Red means passion, Yellow means wealth and happiness, Green means growth and life, and Blue means loyalty and faithfulness.

Lastly we did a podcast. The topic was "How can a friend betray you?" We talked about how friends can betray you by telling your secrets, talking behind your back, being jealous, and not helping you when you need them. We shared our stories about friends.

Today was a good day. We learned a lot and enjoyed it.

BOFP facilitators at LEPATO HIGH achieved great success by creating colourful handmade educational boards with shapes in boxes, farm and wild animals, emojis showing emotions, and career picture cards including doctor, chef, police officer, baker, teacher, farmer and more, to teach Grade 8 learners in a fun, visual way. name animals and point at emojis to express how they feel, while the career cards opened their eyes to dream big and say "I want to be a doctor, I want to be a chef." The achievement is that learners who struggle to read and write can now learn through play, improve their memory and vocabulary, and start thinking about their future careers with confidence.

*Moral of the story:* When learning is made colourful, playful and practical, every child can understand, dream and believe that they too have a future.

At LEPATO HIGH SCHOOL , BOFP facilitators turned waste into wealth and proved that ability has no limit, when they taught learners how to make recycled plastic woven mats, sleeping mats and door mats from old plastic - in Sepedi we call it Meseme ya Polasitiki - using cut pieces of 2-litre plastic bottles and plastic bags stitched with red wool and orange sack string. What you see in the pictures is not rubbish, it is raw material: plastic bottles cut with scissors into small rectangles, hand-stitched around the edges with red wool thread to make them strong, then joined together and woven with wool and plastic strips into colourful, durable floor mats and sleeping mats. The facilitators, , sat with learners on wooden tables showing them how to cut, thread a needle, and weave, turning pollution into beautiful blue, yellow, red and green striped mats that families can use at home, at church, and to sell for R100-R250 each. This one-day training at Lepato High School did more than clean the environment, it gave learners a scarce green skill, income opportunity and pride that even with empty hands and waste plastic, BOFP can build our future.
