Check out this amazing transformation!

It was such a privilege to project manage this wonderful initiative of Kathu Primary School's RCL of 2024.

Even though the project started out as something completely different, going back to the drawing board several times, I believe we came to the best solution!

Phase 1 of this project is now completed. We installed shadenetting with Kalahari Shadeport & Steelworks and painted a beautiful feature wall with an inspirational quote. The professional team from Maatla Signs handled the installation for us. I can truly recommend both suppliers!

Today was a massive day for Spektrum! I've been quiet on social media, but working like crazy behind the scenes.

Today concluded two big projects I've been working on.

The first was a very special project at Kathu Primary School.

The second was my biggest event to date. Event planning and management is what I absolutely love doing! The adrenalin rush when all rollplayers and all strings come together and have to work in harmony... It absolutely blows my hair back... 🤪

I will make a seperate post for each!

For now, let me share a picture or two of the fun we had earlier this week. This was not in the capacity of Spektrum, but rather just a mom and her mom-army coming together to do something special for the school our kids attend!

Today we did our first furniture removal. Packed and moved furniture and deep cleansed a house so the new tenants can move into a sparkling clean home. What a day!

Before & After Post

We had the privilege to do a small backyard transformation on a very tight budget.

The brief
Install gravel in the backyard to combat the dust.

The Project
After our first site visit it was clear that gravel is not the answer. The front yard and a big piece of the backyard is already under gravel. Not only will it intensify the heat in the Kalahari summer, it will leave no space for the family's children to play outside. So back to the drawing board.

We decided to clear the topsoil with dead grass and an insane amount of paper thorns on both sides of the pathway. We moved the playgym and monkeybars and installed new grass on the one side. We also repurposed sement stepping stones to do a hop scotch trail.

On the other side we worked in some manure to feed the soil and planted grass. Our budget did not allow seedlings. So fingers crossed for the seeds to sprout an grow into a luscious green lawn. Will post photos of the progress!
