Teaching children to have compassion for animals builds empathy, responsibility and emotional intelligence. It enables children to develop a foundation of kindness that extends to all living beings.
It has been well documented that there is a close link between cruelty to animals and violence towards humans. It is crucial that we teach our children compassion, they are the only hope for the future of this planet.

Winter is traditionally the quietest season for adoptions but animal welfare organisations say the need for homes has never been greater.

🥶𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐄𝐓 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐍 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐆𝐎 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐄𝐍𝐃 🙏
If like us, you cannot bear to think of all the dogs in shelters and in the townships that do not have a warm home this Winter, please support our 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 and help us to keep them warm.

We are collecting blankets for: The Dogs Trust (200 dogs), Dogtown South Africa (80 dogs), Paws R Us: SA (over 70 dogs), Happy Yappers Animal Sanctuary NPO 119-872 (225 dogs) as well as for the dogs in the townships that live outside (assisted by The Dogs Trust and Happy Yappers).

Although the shelters would be grateful for any blanket donations, there is one blanket that is not worth buying: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐭, this blanket cannot be washed (single use only) and is a choking hazard for the dogs. Please consider buying 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐲 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐭 (available at PEP), please see first comment for pictures, or any fleece blanket.

We (and the dogs that will be warm because of you), would be so very grateful if you would add a few blankets to your shopping this weekend and drop them off at one of the drop-off points below.

Cat lovers, we need you too🙏 we support Cat Family Foundation and Northgate Ferals NPO 306-673 and they are battling, please consider donating some cat food (Montego preferred) and use the same drop-off points below🙏

Or, If you live in a Residential Estate and you are willing to be a drop-off point for the residents in your estate, please contact us.
