We usually don't ask for Monetary Donations but, we cannot bear the thought of Paws R Us: SA worrying about this too, over and above everything else they are dealing with, in preparation for their huge impending move in 12 days. None of us can imagine the stress and emotional toll a move like this takes on this already overstretched team, not to mention the dogs. Paws R Us currently have 70 dogs in their care, and all their time, energy and resources need to go into trying to get as many of their dogs adopted as possible before the move.

It really does take a Village, and if we could at least take the worry over not having water off their shoulders, we could make a difference.

๐Ÿ›‘ OUR WATER CRISIS CONTINUES - PLEASE HELP! ๐Ÿ›‘
Humans, we've been battling since 20 August with a WATER EMERGENCY. We have no electricity and therefore, are not able to pump water from the borehole. The phase system on-site also does not work for a generator, and therefore, we ARE JAMMED! We move off this property on 26 September, but we still have TWELVE DAYS TO GO and we must make a plan. OUR SHELTER DOGS NEED DAILY CLEAN WATER, and we must ensure clean kennels as part of our daily hygiene protocols.

At present, we have 400 litres of water stored in the donated ECO and JOJO tanks on site. However, we need 2500-3000 litres of water to be fully operational (i.e. daily cleaning and water refills).

The Douglasdale CPF has been phenomenal in support over the last two weeks, however, understandably, they cannot keep giving. The ideal situation is a WATER TANKER EVERY 3 DAYS. However, for context, 2500 litres of water (with delivery) costs R2200 each time. Our monthly survival is already a struggle, before we factor a water crisis into the equation. With Carer wages and vet payments due, we do not have the extra leeway to pay R2200 every 3 days until we move on the 26th.

CAN YOU HELP?
1. Do you know any company that has a WATER TANKER and is able to help us out with a donation of water?
2. Can you donate towards deliveries of water - these are R2200 per delivery of 2500 litres of water. It could be more for more water - this is just the rate we have ordered at over the last week. 2500 litres of water should last us 3 days if we clean every 2nd day until we move.
