With all the human trafficking, r**e, and abuse that has been taking place. We cannot still claim that we want create awareness this is not something that started overnight we are in a critical state now and a movement and campaign is what we need to be focused on. Communities coming together discussing how we can keep our women and children safe. That is what we need to focus on. Period!!.

What's really frustrating is that as people we don't care about what's happening with our neighbors. It's always a thing of as long as it's not happening to me I look the other way until it's too late. Mense die ding kom al lank aan. En nou het dit heeltemal uit verband geruk want hoekom “as dit ni n bash is ni stel ek nie belang nie". We have forgotten how to care about each other. We're quick to jump and gossip about everything else around us and point fingers.

We need to tackle the problem at hand. We have been doing a few movements and giving out flyers and now we are doing visits to schools to give our kids self defence tips but that can only help so much. Our kids need us as parents to come up with solutions to this problem.

Some safety tips to discuss with our kids:

* Always walk in a group if they are walking from school
* Always observe what is happening around you.
* Use your voices when you are being approached by someone you don't know.
* Put your cell phones away as it will distract you.
* When walking alone (which this should be avoided) do not walk with headsets in your ears as someone can just sneak up on you.

Our second visit at Norridge Park Primary with the grade 4 and 5's. We are finishing off eersterust schools by end of August and moving out to the neighboring areas. Let's stand together again kidnappings and human trafficking. Our kids matter. Your child. My child. Our children

Next week we will be visiting with Master Bovo (South Africa School of Self defence) Norridge Park for grade 1-3. There will be a campaign going where the parents can be apart of this movement. Details to follow soon.
