Many couples, who want small weddings of under 30 to 40 guests, request dinner/dance wedding receptions at restaurants. That is a challenge because if you want music, you need privacy (other diners may not share your taste in music). What you need is a restaurant with a private function room, which you may be able to use without paying extra. This is quite rare in KwaZulu-Natal but we know a few. An added bonus would be a restaurant that would allow you to use the function room before the reception as a pop-up chapel in case it is raining too hard to have a beach or garden ceremony. Be aware that restaurants without function rooms are not keen to close their doors to regular customers for small parties. Of course, money talks, so if a couple is prepared to pay the restaurant's estimate takings for a full house sitting, then it is possible. In reality, only wedding venues or guest houses with venues will open their doors to dinner/dance receptions, not restaurants.
