Last night wasn’t just about holding the mic… it was about holding the moment. A night of worship, praise and encountering God, where voices rose, hearts opened and the atmosphere shifted.

Many enter marriage still emotionally tied to being someone's child, or later so consumed with parenting that they forget the covenant they made as husband and wife. But marriage was designed for two at the centre, husband and wife.

Children are a blessing, not the foundation. Parents deserve honor, not control. The marital covenant comes first. "A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24). Leave, cleave, become one.

Brethren, children grow and leave. Parents will one day be gone, but husband and wife are meant to build a life together.

A healthy marriage says, I honor my parents, I love my children, but I protect my spouse. When the centre is strong, the home stands. Marriage isn't sustained by parenting, parenting is strengthened by a healthy marriage.
