From nuptials to returning friends of the bridal couple, from baptisms to family holidays enjoying local outdoor events, to celebrating major anniversaries and birthdays, Calderwood Hall Guest House is your country home, welcoming you back, time and again, to make precious memories. The venue allows for personal styles to be reflected in the reception. The pretty and tranquil thatched stained glas

s chapel can seat 150 guests. It is multidenominational and we welcome weddings from all cultural groups. For those who’ve always dreamed of having an outdoor ceremony, there is a forest alongside the dam. We also have the jasmine-covered arbour in our front garden which allows for guests to be seated on the grassed lawn with the Manor House behind them. Our accommodation has been graded as AA Highly Recommended and we can sleep up to 82 guests on the estate. Our Manor House has five oversized luxury en-suite bedrooms, all exquisitely themed for guests to enjoy the unique character of each. Our Guest House is surrounded by beautiful gardens with a gazebo and ornamental fountain, dams and forests. Set in the gardens are a further 23 en-suite garden rooms. These may be more suitable for larger groups or family getaways, being located a little further from the Manor.

We have been waiting not so patiently for some of the pics from Chetty's fabulous wedding which we had the privilege of coordinating, doing the lighting, flowers and decor for this amazing, and I mean amazing, wedding at the beautiful Calderwood Hall. These are some of the pics from the Friday evening function... waiting for Saturday's pics which will, quite honestly blow your mind! Friday evening was an amazing, colourful affair - with bright colours following a traditional Tamil wedding, which was due to be held in the Calderwood forest. Bad weather put an end to that, but we managed a couple of pictures of the set up before we moved everything to a warmer spot...

Harvesting honey last week was quite eventful as our busy little bees decided making honey in their hives was not fun so rather chose to move into the Manor House Bathroom Walls. Why be normal? We received great service from Bushveld Bees who not only serviced our hives but removed 3 “wild” swarms as well. And a 35L yield of the most beautiful dark liquid gold is not bad. That will keep us going for a while. 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

What an absolute privilege to have hosted the descendants of Joseph and Edith Jardine and their families this weekend ! Joseph built Calderwood Hall Manor in 1903 after coming to SA from the UK with his parents as a little boy of 3 years old .Robert , Shirley and Fiona (Jardine Grandchildren) all grew up at Calderwood Hall when Dad Albert inherited the Farm after Joseph’s passing in 1934. Great great grandchildren Seb , Nic and Clinton and great great great grandchildren Delaney and Mason (Mr Chicken Nuggets) also made the weekend extra special . How awesome to spend time reminiscing sometimes with so much emotion about all the wonderful memories and stories about growing up at Calderwood . Thank you to you all for spending time with us Jardine Family . Au Revoir my friends . Having owned Calderwood for nearly 20 years they are more than friends they feel like family ! A thousand thank yous for an amazing weekend .
