A wedding coordinator isn’t a luxury, it’s a game-changer.
Here are just some of the reasons why having a professional guide you through the process and manage the day is worth every cent!

1. You don’t know what you don’t know.
Weddings have so many moving parts - from logistics and vendor management to last-minute changes. With hundreds of weddings up our belt, we know what to look out for and expect. We ask the right questions, avoid common pitfalls, and make sure every element is working in harmony.

2. Your family and friends should be guests, not your crew.
This is one of the most important reasons I do what I do. So many couples assume they can delegate to a friend or a family member, but the reality is - those people should be enjoying your day, not running it. A coordinator allows everyone to relax, be present, and actually celebrate with you!

3. Things will go wrong — and that’s okay.
No matter how well things are planned, little curveballs always pop up. Without a coordinator, unfortunately you or your family become the problem solvers whilst trying to enjoy your special day. In hiring a coordinator, we handle all issues calmly, promptly and often so discrete you and your guests would never know there was even a problem!

4. Your time is precious
Wedding planning can be overwhelming - especially if you’re working or juggling other commitments. Let your coordinator take the pressure off by handling vendor communication, building timelines, assist with last minute details and keep things on track.

5. Stress who?
You should feel excited, not anxious. Have peace of mind and soak in every moment knowing there is a professional executing your vision and handling all logistics. Wedding-day-you will thank you for it!

I am always asked ‘what would you do?’ about certain traditions, ideas or wedding ‘musts’ - so I’m excited to start my tips & tricks series, sharing all things I personally love to implement into a wedding day. Starting with the ceremony!

Now let’s start by declaring that these tips may not suit everyone. All couples and weddings are unique and your special day is about what makes you, you. Take these ideas as suggestions, not must haves if they don’t suit your vibe.

1. Have your immediate family seated on the opposite side to where you are standing during your ceremony. This way, when you turn in for your vows they will have the best view of your face to witness all your gorgeous emotions and feels

2. Allow your MOH/best man to get right to the end of the aisle before the bride/groom starts walking. We don’t want everyone leaning around the MOH/BM (including your wife/husband-to-be) for their first peak at their stunning partner!

3. Make sure your bridal party greet the groom! Whether it’s a hug, high five, fist pump or a kiss on the cheek (careful of those white shirts pls), ensure your bridal party greet your nervous groom/bride at the end of the aisle. No doubt they are needing a personal and fun moment with some of their favourite people to help calm the nerves!

4. Have your ring bearer go around and between you both when handing you your rings - this makes for great photos and means everyone can see this special moment, rather than guests only seeing the back of them!

5. Practise your kiss and dip!! Although it will feel completely bizarre at the time, set the camera up and practise different ‘kisses’ for when you are announced married at the ceremony. Don’t forget to also practise the infamous ‘dip’ shot as you walk back down the aisle if this is your style. It can be harder than it looks!

So you have gotten to the point of the planning process where social media is making you second guess your decisions and style…

The truth is, it’s a normal part of today’s wedding planning process. With a flooded algorithm of wedding trends and ads every time you open your phone - how could you not start to question your wedding selections?

And whilst these viral trends or weddings are popular for good reason, it’s important to remember that the reality is often very different to what it seems online.

Even some of the most difficult or unlucky weddings can look flawless with the skill of an incredible photographer, videographer or content creator. Never underestimate the talent of these creatives!

So whilst Pinterest, Tik Tok and Instagram are invaluable tools for inspiration, don’t forget to back yourself in decision-making, be a team and don’t compare your wedding choices to online opinions. Not every trend is as practical or aesthetically pleasing in person as it is in photos!

A whole year of Marry Me Murrihy.

It’s hard to put into words how incredible the last year has been. After years of dreaming up my own business and finding the confidence to branch out on my own, the last 12 months have been the most surreal and rewarding.

Thank you to all the talented vendors that have become friends, my family for their continued boasting and support, and to all the couples who have let me be part of your special days. I truly have the best job in the world and I will never take it for granted.

From the late night zoom meetings, to the Bunnings runs for emergency supplies, to the phone calls turned catch ups confirming details with suppliers, to the tears of joy as I drive home after a phenomenal wedding day.

This little dream of mine has quickly become a huge part of me and who I am. Nothing makes me more proud than telling others about the beautiful couples I get to meet and days I am lucky enough to be part of.

I am so excited for the huge year ahead and to see where this small little biz will go ✨
