It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a long-time Endurancefactor Events staff member and friend, Zach Golley. Zach was tragically killed in an accident this week in Ellicottville.

If you have participated in any of our events in the last few years, you undoubtedly would have seen Zach's smiling face somewhere on course. Zach was a valued member of the Ellicottville community and was often referred to as the "Zach of All Trades", There was nothing he couldn't fix, repair, or figure out.

A truly kind and generous person, Zach's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

It's race day for this years EVL Half!

Hey EVL Half Marathon Runners. While we expected a bridge construction project at mile 5.5 on the half marathon course to be completed by race day, unfortunately the crane used to put on the decking broke down this week and the bridge will not be ready by Saturday. The bridge is right before the corner of Kent Rd and Hinman Hollow intersection.

Because of this, we had a 450ft compacted gravel path constructed today that bypasses the bridge and connects back with Hinman Hollow. We also remeasured the course and adjusted the turn around on Hencoop to account for the slight distance change with the detour.

Overall it is a great running surface and we are super thankful for the great people at Telaak Farms that allowed us to put a path through their property and JD Northrup Construction for getting the path installed so quickly.

Less than a week away from the 2024 EVL Half, 5k, & relay and the weather looks awesome next Saturday. Right now the forecast is for 60 and sunny!

Still some space to sign up but less than 50 5k entries still available. We are getting 20 entries a day, so expect a sell out by mid week.

The relay has been sold out for months, but a few teams have transferred to the 5k which has opened up a few Relay Team entry spots.
