• Exploiting the quality and timeless allure of enchanting Molyvos,the festival features a feast of day-time chamber music delights culminating in an evening symphonic concert at Molyvos Castle.

• Each year will have a different theme and explore a variety of repertoire and formations.


• At MIMF, audiences will have the opportunity to come directly in contact with the artists, learning and exp

eriencing classical music at its best and broadening horizons - by demonstrating its fun and importance.

• Moderate, affordable ticket prices will allow people of all kinds to participate and join the events.


• Molyvos Musical Moments – small tasters of each evening’s concert with free admission - will take place each day at various idyllic spots in the village.This will not only arouse anticipation of the upcoming concerts but will also enable continuity of the festival’s mood over the three days.

• To ensure an inclusive atmosphere at the concerts, introductions of the music and musicians will be made in English and Greek.


• Alongside the scheduled festival programme, our special Young People’s Concert - with free admission - will bring children directly into contact with the festival’s musicians through innovative workshops and narrated mini-concerts.

«Εξέγερση και Ελπίδα»
Στον Μόλυβο, μια γωνιά της Λέσβου όπου η θάλασσα και το φως δημιουργούν τη δική τους μουσική, το Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Μουσικής Μολύβου 2025 προσεγγίζει το ΧΑΟΣ ως πηγή έμπνευσης. Η πρώτη εκπομπή εξερευνά το πνεύμα της Εξέγερσης και της Ελπίδας μέσα από έργα που συνδυάζουν δυναμική και ευαισθησία: από την πρεμιέρα του Ερρίκου Βάιου, όπου η δημιουργική φλόγα συναντά τον προσωπικό τόνο, ως τις πολυφωνικές συγκρούσεις του Mendelssohn και την εσωτερική λάμψη του Schumann. Τα μικρά διαλείμματα με τα πρελούδια του Bartok προσφέρουν στιγμές ανάσας και αμεσότητας, φωτίζοντας το δρόμο από το χάος προς την ελπίδα.

Ερμηνεύουν οι μουσικοί: Κατερίνα Χατζηνικολάου βιολί, Tanja Tetzlaff τσέλο, Δανάη Ντέρκεν πιάνο, Antje Weithaas βιολί, Florian Donderer βιολί, Georgy Kovalev βιόλα, Christian-Pierre La Marca τσέλο, Hyeyoon Park βιολί, Sindy Mohamed βιόλα, Κυβάλη Ντέρκεν πιάνο.

Στην καρδιά του Αυγούστου, ο Μόλυβος αντήχησε με μία λέξη: ΕΛΠΙΔΑ. Η μουσική έγινε υπόσχεση – μια υπενθύμιση ότι ακόμα και στις αβέβαιες εποχές, η αρμονία επικρατεί.

Η συναυλία αυτή ήταν κάτι περισσότερο από μια εμφάνιση· ήταν μια πρόσκληση να πιστέψουμε ξανά, να νιώσουμε τη δύναμη και την ομορφιά που μόνο η μουσική μπορεί να ξυπνήσει.

Στο Molyvos International Music Festival πιστεύουμε ότι η κλασική μουσική ανήκει παντού — όχι μόνο στις μεγάλες αίθουσες, αλλά κάτω από ανοιχτό ουρανό, δίπλα στη θάλασσα και στην καρδιά της κοινότητάς μας. Αυτή η εμφάνιση στην παραλία ήταν κάτι περισσότερο από μια συναυλία· ήταν μια πρόσκληση να ζήσουμε τη μουσική διαφορετικά, να νιώσουμε τη δύναμή της σε μέρη όπου δεν είχε ακουστεί ποτέ πριν.
