We’re excited to welcome J. M. Kelts and E.R. Martin to FABLE Book Con this July.

For more than twenty years, Joelle of has been building the world of Shantor, shaping a story filled with prophecy, memory, healing, and power. Her work as a trauma-informed life coach and somatic practitioner has deeply influenced the way she approaches storytelling and the people inside her stories.

E.R. Martin’s love of storytelling has followed her through every stage of life, from childhood plays and poetry notebooks to the YA fantasy worlds she writes today. Alongside writing, she spends her days teaching music and helping students discover creativity in all its forms.

There’s something meaningful about meeting authors whose stories grew slowly alongside their real lives. The books become part imagination, part lived experience, part persistence.

That’s one of the things we love most about gatherings like FABLE. You get to meet the people behind the stories and see the years of care that went into creating them.

Some stories are a little darker. A little sharper around the edges. Sometimes that’s exactly what readers are looking for.

Heat Street is our space for adult fantasy and romance authors whose books lean into the tension, the longing, the chaos, and the chemistry that keeps readers turning pages way too late into the night.

Not everyone reads fantasy the same way. Some readers want soft and cozy. Some want dangerous characters, complicated relationships, and stories that don’t hold back. We wanted to make room for all of it.
