Metcalfe Plaza offers a vibrant open-air setting. Located at 151 Metcalfe Street, this space features a licensed bar, flexible event space, cultural programming, and a lively atmosphere all summer long.

WE’RE BRINGING BACK AMASHOWZA ! 🪩✨

is a cultural platform rooted in global sounds from across Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, and beyond, curating inclusive and vibrant experiences. 

As Metcalfe Plaza’s lead cultural programming partner, they present AMASHOWZA Fridays, an open-format weekly bringing together DJs, collectives, and artists every Friday night, all season long.

Expect an atmosphere that keeps people dancing long after sunset!

METCALFE PLAZA is back for summer 2026 🧡

Last summer was too good to keep short… so we’re extending the season from June to September for our 2026 edition! Expect outdoor parties, DJ sets, wellness activities, markets, social gatherings, and community programming throughout the season.

151 Metcalfe St. will once again become Ottawa’s open-air social hub, with free events every week in the heart of downtown. 💫
