“I've just been down to Fairhaven Lake to check out the spot for tonight's VE Day 80 tribute organised by Fylde Council and it's looking fantastic.

Starting at 6.30pm, do come along to enjoy music from the Bluebirds (who are no stranger to the Lytham 1940s Weekend) and the famous Victory in Europe speech by our 1940s Mr Winston Churchill. At 9.30pm tonight we will join with over a thousand other towns, villages and cities across the UK who will be lighting a Beacon or 'lamp lights of peace' to mark this historic day.”

Another great St Annes Carnival Parade!

The parade was the biggest in history with over 60 organisations involved and over 2000 participants! We are hoping to have raised £1000 just from the collection in the parade!

Massive thank you to all that volunteered that helped with the parade!

Another big thank you goes to Brad and Sonny, without the work of the Deputy Parade Coordinators, the parade would’ve taken hours to set up and manage!

We are still looking for parade marshals for this Saturday’s carnival parade. If you can spare your morning, you’d be doing our town a great service!

🚨Urgent request🚨

This years carnival parade will be held on Saturday 29th June, with the parade staring at 10:30am.

We are urgently appealing for volunteers to help us by manning a barrier along the parade route, to keep the route safe!

The job is not a difficult one - and not a long one. You will get a “front row” viewing of the parade also! Training will be provider in the morning of the carnival.

The time commitment is from 8:30am-12pm and as a thank you - you will receive a drink and snack from our stall in the gardens.

Without your help, we may have to change the route or have to stop the parade.
