My name is Jarrell, but most people know me as J Rok or HoodChef219. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana, I developed a passion for bold flavors and creative cooking at an early age. Food has always been more than just a meal for me—it’s an experience, a way to connect with people, and a canvas for creativity.

I took that passion to the next level by earning a Culinary Arts degree from the Art Institute of Houston, a Culinary Management degree from the Art Institute of Indianapolis, and an MBA from Strayer University. With a strong foundation in both the art and business of food, I’ve crafted my own unique style of cooking—one that blends comfort, culture, and a touch of luxury into every dish. That’s what Hood Rich Meals is all about.

My philosophy is simple: luxury should be accessible to everyone. You don’t need fancy ingredients or an unlimited budget to eat like a king—you just need the right techniques, the right seasoning, and a little creativity.
